CACUTION TO THE PUBLIC Christchurch Town Reserves. WHEREAS an advertisement appeared in the Lyttelton Times of Saturday last, April 8, announcing that the"Agent of the late Canterbury Association is^pvepared to lease the right of pasturage^ on the Christchurch'.Town Reserves for a term of one year from the 31st of May next. WHEREAS I have received instructions from His Excellency the Officer administering1 the Government of New Zealand directing me to inquire into] the complaints made by certain occupants of Pastoral Runs in this Province allotted to them by the late Commissioner of Crown Lands, and authorising me in case I find that any injustice has been done to such parties, from their claims not being properly understood, to remedy such wrong as^far as lies in my power. Now I hereby give Notice to all parties, having any such com- i plaints to make, to send in a statement of their claims in writing to this Office on or before Thursday the Ist June next, after which date the lands outside the Canterbury Block will be finally allotted to applicants according to their respective claims and priority of application, and in strict accordance with the Government Regulations for the issue of Depasturing Licences. Holders of depasturing licenses issued by the late Commissioner are also hereby required to attend at this Office on or before the above mentioned day, to sign a declaration of the amount of stock on their respective runs. All Runs which shall be found not to be stocked as required by the Government Regulations will be forfeited and offered for selection to any parties applying for them.
