Claims to be addressed to the Resident Magistrate, and forwarded as follows :— For the town of Christchurch —To the Resident Magistrate's Room, Land Office, Christchurch; For the Christchurch Country DistrictTo the Resident Magistrate's Room, Land Office, Christchurch; or to the Resident Magistrate's Office, Lyttelton. For the town of Lyttelton—To the Resident Magistrate's Office, Lyttelton. The words "Claim to Register" being inserted above the direction. To prevent misunderstanding the public are informed that the boundary line between the Akaroa and Christchurch Districts consists in a right line drawn from the Conical Rocks midway between the eastern headland of Port Albeit, and the western headland of Pigeon Bay, due south across Banks' Peninsula, meeting the sea at the western headland of Island Bay. All claims lying to the eastward of such boundary line being in the Akaroa and all to the westward in the Christchurch Country District. Charles Simeon, Resident Magistrate. NOTICE, AT a Special General Meeting of the Trustees under the Church Property Ordinance, held at Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 4th April, 1854, the following resolution was passed. "That the Secretary be requested to communicate with Mr. Sewell, wiih a view to obtain an account of the particulars of the property held in trust by the Canterbury Association for Ecclesiastical 'and Educational purposes, and of the conditions on which he is prepared to transfer such property to the Trustees." At an adjourned meeting of the Trustees under the Church Property Ordinance, held at Christ Church, on Monday, the 1 Oth instant, eight members being present, it was unanimously resolved :— " That, in consequence of the unsatisfactory nature of the answer received from Mr. SewtH to the above resolution, an adjourned meeting of the Trustees under the Church Property Ordinance will be h*ld at the Sehool-Roov , Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 18th install!, .t noon, at which the attendance of the Trusts is earnestly requested." ; C.
