ARRIVED. Jan. 23, cutter Rawai, 18 tons, Sinclair, from Akaroa. Jan. 27, schooner Shep7ierdess, 40 tons, Bowler, from Otago. CLEARED OUT. Jan. 24, brig Mountain Maid, 200 lons, Peacock, for Akaroa. Same day, schooner Fairy, 15 tons, Vincent, for Akaroa. IMPORTS. In the Kaivai, — ll tons flour, $ ton cheese. EXPORTS. In the Mountain Maid, —part of original cargo from Sydney.
From the master of the " Shepherdess," we learn that the " Duke of Portland " and the " Stately" were expected at Otago daily. The Marco Polo, is advertised in the Liverpool papers to sail for Melbourne about Oct. 23, under the command of Mr. M'Donnell, who was chief oificer on the kist two voyages she made. The Marco Polo is advertised to carry a full brass band, chess, backgammon, and draught boards, &c, for the amusement of the passengers. Captain Forbes takes the command of a new ship, now building for him.
