A MEETING of the above Society will he held on Monday, the 16th inst, at the White Hart, to take into consideration a Jetter which has heen addressed to Dr. Martin by Dr. Savage, " the lion. Secretary of the Committee of Land-purchasers resident in England," requesting the co-operation of the Colonists' Society with respect to certain measures set forth in a pamphlet puhlished in England, in May, 1853, " The Mutual Relations between the Canterbury Association, and the Purchasers of land." Mr. Beeby's proposition to amend the Library Rales. 2nd. Mi. Alport's proposition, " That it is highly desirable to introduce the Government Land Regulations within the Canterbury bli-ck, with, the view of rendering the price of land in this settlement conformable to that of the other settlements of New Zealand ; and that a^Memorial, tube signed by the Inhabitants of Lyttelton, be forwarded to the General Government to effect such object/ (Signed) ,T.
