CONCERT. THE Lyttelton Choral Society intend giving a Concert on Tuesday, the fourth of October, at 7 p.m. in the barracks, Lyttelton, to the members of the Lyttelton and Christchurch Colonists' Societies. It is fully calculated that a Building of the description intended will not only be very useful for public purposes but also prove a remunerative speculation to the Shareholders, as it unreasonably be expected that the Local Government will rent it for the service of the Provincial Council, and Magistrates, and Supreme Court : also that it would be frequently hired for Balls, Dinners, and other festivities.
