AKAROA ELECTION.

We have just learnt the result of the elections at Akaroa, to the Provincial Council. At the close of the poll, on Wednesday, the following is stated to be the result:

Mr. R. H.Rhodes.... Rev. W. Aylmer, .... Mr. W. S. Moorhouse, Mr. G. H. Tribe, ....

The two former were declared duly elected. We understand that this1 Returning Officer gave his casting vote in favour of the Rev. W. Aylmer.
