WEEKLY SALE by AUCTION Of Cattle, Horses, &c, at Christchurch. MR. ALPORT begs to inform Stockowners and others, that he intends holding a Public Auction, Weekly, on Saturday (being Market-day), at the Golden Fleece Hotef, Christchurch, for the Sale of Stock, Merchandise, &c. N.B. Parties desirous of submitting Stock, &c. to Public Competition will oblige by signifying the same on or before the previous Thursday. SALE BY AUCTION, MR. ALPORT will Sell by Public Auction, at his Auction Rooms on Thursday next, the 18th instant, at 12 o'clock, noon, precisely, the following Merchandise, viz.:— ; 5 Tons of first and second quality Flour, 5 Chests and 5 half do. Congou Tea, 1 Ton of Pampanga Sugar, 5 Bags Fine Salt, 4 Do. coarse Do., 3 Casks Whiting, 5 Boxes Mould Candles, 1 Do. Colman's Starch, 20 Kegs assorted Nails, 5 Cwt. White Lead, 20 Bushels Bran. Also, without Reserve, A small quantity of wearing Apparel. LONGDEN & LE CREN have received instructions to Sell by Auction, without any Reserve, the whole of the Stores, &c, now left in the hands of the Agent of the Canterbury Association. The Sale will take place at the Association's Store, in Lyttelton, on Thursday, 25th instant, and a list of the goods for sale will be published in handbills, and in the next Lyttelton Times. FOR SALE, an excellent FLOCK of about SEVENTEEN HUNDRED SHEEP, now depasturing on the Waiua Plain, in the Southern part of the Province of Nelson, together with the Good-will of an admirable RUN. The Sheep consist of— 860 Two-year-old Ewes, 50 Wethers, 28 Rams, 180 One-year-old Ewes, 180 Do. Wethers, and about 400 Lambs.
