The Company's vessels " Fairy" and " Fanny" are now undergoing a thorough repair, and it is the intention of the Committee to continue to the Public the same attention and regularity in the working of the vessels as has been observed for the last eighteen months. Mr. Tribe, the Agent of the Company, is at all times prepared to receive at his Wharf goods to be' stripped by the above vessels, free of storage, thereby preventing the necessity of parties waiting1 in"? Plains, and the numerous charges to which parties are exposed in 'consequence, the owners of the undermentioned boats have, completed arrangements to deliver goods in Christchurch, at the rate of 325. per ton, free of all other charges. The boats will discharge at the Heathcote Ferry Wharf, and the goods will be carted -without any delay to Christchurch, and delivered to their respective owners, at the fixed, charge above-mentioned, i By this arrangement, parties receiving goods will be able to calculate the exact amount o expenses incurred, and will be answerable to the Agent only for such, and free from the annoyance of being called upon by several parties i for various charges. | " The boats which are intended to carry out these arrangements comprise the largest and most seaworthy at present engaged in the carrying trade, and will consist of the Palinurus, Capt. Greaves. Kaha, " Swanson. Rover,....'. " Bannister. _ 'General Palmer,... " Strickland. , Agent in Christchurch, Mr. Smart, by whom all charges will be collected, and to whom references may be made. Wharfinger—Mr. W. Stewart. Proprietors of Drays and others accustomed to do their own carting, will have their goods delivered at the Wharf at the rate of 225. per ton, including all charges. N.B. Should the above arrangements be found to be as beneficial to the public as the promoters of them have reason to expect, they will be facilitated and improved upon as circumstances will allow.
