NOTICE. /L rriHE Public are hereby i^jkNjkv -*- informed, that in consetf^Msj^3Mt^\ quence of the present defec-|/^^^^3rovr-tive arrangements with reg "s^*\ JUliffr^j gard to the carriage of goods •.^^^^^^^™*^ between the Port and the Plains, and the numerous charges to which parties are exposed in consequence, the owners of the undermentioned boats have completed arrangements to deliver goods in Christchurcb, free of all charges, at the rate of 325. per ton. The boats will discharge at the Heathcote Ferry Wharf, and the goods will be carted without any delay to Christchurch, and delivered to their respective owners, at the fixed charge above-mentioned. By this arrangement, parties receiving goods will be able to calculate the exact amount of expenses incurred, and will be answerable to the Agent only for such, and free from the annoyance of being called upon by several parties for various charges. The boats which are intended to carry out these arrangements comprise the largest and most seaworthy at present engaged in the carrying trade, and will consist of the Palinurus, Capt. Greaves. Kaka " Swanson. Rover, " Bannister. General Palmer,... u Strickland. Agent in Christchurch, Mr. Smart, by whom all charges will be collected, and to whora references may be made. Warfinger,—Mr. W. Stewart. Proprietors of Drays and others accustomed to do their own carting, will have their goods delivered at the Wharf at the rate of 225. per ton, free of all charges. N.B. Should the above arrangements be found to be as beneficial to the public as the promoters of them have reason to expect, they will be facilitated and improved upon as circumstances will allow. £5 REWARD. WHEREAS some evil-disposed person or persons did, on Friday, the 25th day of February, wilfully and maliciously destroy five Geese and two Turkeys, on the Heathcote Farm; this is to give Notice, that the above Reward will be paid to any person who shall give such information as shall lead to the conviction of the offender or offenders, by applying to W. Reynolds, Esq., or Mr. Joseph Garland, Heathcote Farm. £5 REWARD. LOST, supposed to have STRAYED from the Waikerikeri, a Bay Make, white face, black mane and tail, and one eye. Any person bringing the same to H. Phillips, Esq., Christchurcb, will receive the above reward.
