THURSDAY Next, the 16th instant, being the Anniversary of the Foundation of the Canterbury Settlement, the offices of the Canterbury Association will be closed. THE Bank will be closed on Thursday, 16th December, the Anniversary of the Foundation of the Colony; and on Saturday and Monday, the Ist and 3rd January, for the Half-yearly Balance. A PUBLIC BREAKFA ST will be given on Saturday, the ISth inst., on the Cricket Ground in Hagley Park, upon the occasion of presenting a Farewell Address to Mr. and Mrs. Godley.
