Business for Wednesday Evening, December Ist, 1852. 1 st, Mr. Alport's proposition :— " That it is the opinion of this Society, that a public meeting be convened for the purpose of considering the most fit and proper persons for the office of Superintendent, and for the representation of the town of Lyttelton in the General Assembly and Provincial Council." 2nd, To take into consideration the Memorials addressed to Sir George Grey, with respect to forming an Electoral District in the neighbourhood of Lyttelton. 3rd, Mr. Godley's lecture on "the Constitutional Law lately enacted for New Zealand."
