JUPITER was got by the celebrated imported Cleveland Horse, Admiral, is a rich hay, with black points, 16 hands 2 inches high, for symmetry and substance unrivalled in New Zealand, and is well known as a sure foal-get-ter ; age, rising 7 years. As a two-year-old, Jupiter obtained the prize at the Melbourne Agricultural Meeting. Terms, £3 3s. each mare; every cue will he taken of the mares, but without the slightest responsibility. JosErn Peaiison, View Rill Station. "SPEED THE PLOUGH." A SPLENDID BAY HORSE, near 17 hands, 4 years old, will stand this season at Mr. CitEYKE's Farm, one mile south of Christcliurch. His sire, "Young Prince," a pure Suffolk, imported by J. W. G lea (low, Esq., to Van Piemen's Laud ; his Dam a Government mare, by the celebrated imported horse "Sampson." Terms, 3/. 3s. ; Groom, 2s. 6d. Early applications are requested, as the number of mares will be limited. One mare in five gratis. Season to commence on the Ist of October. " HECTOR." A BROWN HORSE, Black Points, 17 hands high, 4 years old, bred by Mr. Deans, at Ricccarton. Terms, £3 each Mare ; Groom ss. As only a limited number, of mares will be taken, an early application is necessary to the : Groom, J. Martin, Bridle .path, and at Riccarton. To Stand this Season^ CANTERBURY, LATE the property of J. Lockhart^ Esq., of* Homes Hill, Garenkirk, and imported byJ.C. Watts Russell, in December, 1850. He is of pure Clydesdale breed, rising six years old, a beautiful dark brown, with good bone, and superior action. He was got by the young Scotsman, who gained several prizes in the County of Ayr, his grandsire was the Scotsman, property of William Kirkwood, Grimesal, Dunlope, who g lined two first prizes, in the Highland Agricultural Society. Terms, £3 for each mare, and ss. the groom. • To Stand this Season, SHAMROCK. npi-IE thorough-bred Horse, Shamrock, J- will travel the Christchurch district, and will stand at Ham Farm, where good paddocks will be provided (free of expenses) for mares beyond the district. Shamrock is a bright bay,. and stands sixteen and a half hand's high;'* strong boned, and very good tempered, is six years old, and was got'by Mr. Rouse's (of Guntawarrv) splendid English blood horse, Saint John, "out of a thorough-bred Camerton mare. Shamrock was the winner of the prize at the Agricultural Society's Show, as the best colonial blood Stallion. Terms, £5 for each mare, and ss. the groom P.S.—A £25 Cup will be presented by J. C. 'Walts Russell, to be run for, in 1856, by Shamrock's produce, bred iv the Canterbury Settlement.
