NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS.

" A Petitioner for true justice" must pardon our not publishing his letter, as, irrespective of its length, the subject matter is of&o-remote a date as to render it very questionable whether the public would read it. In answer to his query, " Why do you not regularly publish the proceedings in the Resident Magistrate's Court?" we reply that it would be but little interest to the community to know that either Joseph Buggins or William Stumps had been fined for inebriety, or that Euphemia Wilhelmina Potts had summoned her spouse for breach of connubial harmony. We shall not fail to publish whatever ive deem of sufficient importance. We would advise the •' Petitioner" in future to make his complaints as soon after his presumed injtiry as possible, and to take lessons in the art of condensation ; by so doing he would lessen the chance of his susceptibility being wounded by the non-rpublication of his letters. The letters of "Henry Jacobs,' 1 "R. T.," and " Another Shagroon," are tmavoidably postponed to next week, owitig to a great press of other matter. We cannot supply correspondents with proof of their letters out of our office, and we should be obliged by their setiding their communications not later than the Wednesday evening preceding publication, otherwise we cannot undertake to publish them that week.
