The following stanzas are, we believe, the production of a gentleman who arrived in this settlement from Victoria the early part of last year. We are deeply concerned to find that he has pitched his camp in a gorge from whence, it would seem, all the winds in New Zealand proceed—and the more so, as he appears to have surrounded himself with many of the requirements of civilization, and to have indulged ih the luxury of a gardener!
