SALE OF FREEHOLD LAND, Near the celebrated Estate named Hiccarton. NOT only the inhabitants of En-gland, but a large portion of the civilized world, axe by this time in possession of the facts connected with the above Estate. It would be superfluous to mention the names of those patriotic gentlemen, who, after traversing a wide country, found the Canterbury Plains to be the most desirable part of New Zealand. This luxuriant land has produced more than Forty bushels of ivheat per acre without manure. The Rural Sections adjoining are equally rich, and the rising town in the immediate vicinity adds to the value of the property which Mr. Tulloch is authorized to Sell by Public Auction, at the Golden Fleece Hotel, Christchurch, at 12 o'clock, on Tuesday, the 27th day j of May, 1851. The land he will then submit to public competition consists of twenty-live acres, being part of a fifty acre section, numbered IS on the Surveyor's map,— it is near the Riccarton estate. — The Auctioneer deems such a statement quite sufficient to induce those who may require two, three, four, or five acres to assemble on the day, and at the house before named, to purchase at a trifling cost a section of Freehold Land, which will, in all probability, before many years have elapsed, so increase in value, as to exceed the expectation of the most sanguine in this, which will ere long be ranked amongst the most valuable of her Majesty's colonies. A map of the property may be seen on and after Thursday the 22nd, by applying to O. W. Fendall, Esq., the owner, on the premises, to E.WoEMALD,Esq., Solicitor, or to the auctioneer. 11, Esplanade, Lyttelton. The Schooner Boat " Margaret." The small Cedar Built Boat. The V House late in the occupation of Mr. Wyatt. The House in the Esplanade, Lyttelton. MR. TULLOCH hereby informs the Public that the above, advertised for sale by Auction on theloth, were not put up in consequence of the heavy storm on that day. He therefore begs to state that the property will be offered by him at 12 o'clock on Thursday next, May 29. For particulars see the " Lyttelton Times" of the 10th. .. 11, Esplanade, Lyttelton, May 23. WEST END OF LYTTELTON. FREEHOLD LAND FOR SALE. IV/TR. TULLOCH has the pleasure to -*-"-L announce that he is favoured with instructions to sell by Auction at his premises on the Esplanade, Lyttelton, in June next, Five Acres of Rural Land (part of the Estate of the Rev. W. B. Dudley). The words ' ' With Verdure Clad 1" may be fairly applied to the ground now for sale, it consists of sixteen sections, each containing one quarter of an acre, and one section measuring about one acre. Those who are desirous of selecting a spot where they can take a view of the country, between Lake Ellesmere and the lload leading to the Plains, have only to ascend a few feet of the Bridle path to a part of the land before-named. Looking across the far-famed Port named Victoria, the eye catches a sight of Quail Island, the property of E. It. Ward, Esq., the rugged and perpendicular face'of which is beautifully relieved by the green surface of the Island, beyond this improving spot and the Great Lake, the chain of hills adjoining the rich dairy farms of Messrs. Gibbie and Mauson are to be clearly seen. Some of the sections to be disposed of, may in the opinion of many, be more pleasantly situated, the views alluded to cannot be seen from several Lots, but the harbour is open to all, Lyttelton is in full view, also the neighbouring woods, beyond which the romantic mountains on both sides the harbour add to the grandeur of the sight. A map of the property may be seen on and after Monday, May 2(ith, by applying to C. E. Damweb, Esq., Solicitor, to Mr. Dobson, Surveyor, or to the Auctioneer. Wood and Water may be had near the above Sections. The purchasers will be required to pay a deposit of £25. per cent, immediately after the Sale, but the remaining three-fourths may be paid by instalments of 4, 8, and 12 months. 11, lifiplanadu, Lyttelton.
