SALE OF FREEHOLD LAND, Near the. celebrated Estate named Riccurtoii. "jVTOT only the inhabitants of Engtand, -*-> but a large portion of tlio civilized world, are by this time in possession of the facts connected with the above Estate. It would he superfluous to mention the names of those patriotic gentlemen, who, after traversing1 a wide country, found the Canterbury Plains to he the most desirable part of New Zealand. This luxuriant land has produced more lhan Forty bushels of wheat per acre without manure. The Rural Sections adjoining- are equally rich, and the rising- town in the immediate vicinity adds to the value of the property which Mr. Tulloch is authorized to Sell by Public Auction, at the Golden Fleece Hotel, Christchurch, at 12 o'clock, on Tuesday, the 27th day of May, ISSI. The land he will then submit to public competition consists of twenty-five acres, being part of a fifty acre section, numbered 18 on the Surveyor's map,— it is near the Riccarton estate. — The Auctioneer deems such a statement quite sufficient to induce those who may require two, three, four, or five acres to assemble on the day, and at the house before named, to purchase at a trifling cost a section of Freehold Land, which will, in all probability, before many years have elapsed, so increase in value, as to exceed the expectation of the most sanguine in this, which will ere long be ranked amongst the most valuable of her Majesty's colonies. A map of the property may be seen on and after Thursday the 22nd, by applying to C. W. FendAxl, Esq., the owner, on the premises, to K. Wokmald, Esq., Solicitor, or to the Auctioneer. The purchasers will be required to pay a deposit of £25. per cent, immediately after the Sale, but the remaining three-fourths may be paid by instalments of 4, 8, and 12 months. 11, Esplanade, Lyttelton, May S, 1851. The Schooner Boat " Margaret." The small Cedar Built Boat. The V House late in the occupation of Mr.Wyatt. The House in the Esplanade, Lyttelton. MR. TULLOCH hereby informs the Public that the above, advertised for sale by Auction on Thursday last, were not put up in consequence of the heavy storm on that day. WEST EHD OF LYTTELTOH, FREEHOLD LAND FOR SALE. ly/TR- TULLOCH has the pleasure to -*-*_■_ announce that he is favoured with instructions to sell by Auction at 'his premises on the Esplanade, Lyttelton, in June next, Five Acres of Rural Land (part of the Estate of the Rev. W. Dudley). The words '' With Verdure Clad!" maybe fairly applied to the ground now for sale, it consists of sixteen sections, each containing one quarter of an acre, and one section measuring about one acre. Those who are desirous of selecting a spot where they can take a view of the country, between Lake Ellesmere and the Road leading to the Plains, have only to ascend a few feet of the Bridle path to a part of the land before-named. Looking across the far-famed Port named Victoria, the eye catches a sight of Quail Island, the property of E. 11. Ward, Esq., the rugged and perpendicular face^of which is beautifully relieved l:y the green surface of the Island, beyond this improving spot and the Great Lake, the chain of hills adjoining the rich dairy farms of Messrs. Gibbie and Manson are to be clearly seen. Some of the sections to be disposed of, may in the opinion of many, be more pleasantly situated, the views alluded to cannot be seen from several Lots, hut the harbour is open to all, Lyttcltou is in full view, also the neighbouring- woods?, beyond which the romantic mountains on both sides the harbour adds to Vne grandeur of the sight. A map of the property may be seen on and after Monday, May 2(sth, by applying to C. E. Damj'tkr. Esq., Solicitor, to Mr. Doisson, Surveyor, or to the Auctioneer. 11, Ktsxiluuade, Lyttelton, May 10.
