SUNDAY NEXT, (TO-MORROW,) the 23rd inst., has been chosen as a special day of Thanksgiving to Almighty God for His great mercy in bringing the First Body of the Colonists of this Settlement in safety to their new country, and for the blessing which has hitherto attended their undertaking. There will be the usual Services at Christchurch, Lyttelton, and Sumner. The Holy Communion will be administered at Christclmrch and Lytteltori, at the mid-day Service, the proceeds at the Offertory at both places to be devoted to the cause of Missions to the native inhabitants of the Canterbury Settlement. "DERSONS desirous of tendering for the -■- Erection of a Timber Store and Dwelling House at Christchurch may inspect the plans and specifications until Friday, February 28th, at the office of Mr. E. Dobson, Surveyor, Lyttelton. Feb. 20, 1851. NOTICE. THE Undersigned begs to inform the Public, that he is prepared to undertake and execute Buildings in Wood, Pise, and Cob.
