Fire ratepayers were present at that hour, when Mrs Ritchie announced that the following nominations had baen received : THE MAYORALTY LEONARD EDGAR ADAMS, nominated by James Shan and John Jankiaa. THE COUNCIL ADAMS, WILLIAM ANDERSON. JAMBS Sr. DAKSRS. WILLIAM GILMOI'B. ROBERT WALLACE HAMILTON, ALEXANDER HANSEN, GEORGE hKSBBET JENKINS. ANi REW JENKINS, JOHN MILNE, WILLIAM RITCHIE, ARCHIBALD MoQUARRIE SHAW, JAMES SUMMERS. GEORGE TOBIN, PATRICK MALCOLM Tbs Returning Officer declared Mr Adams duly elected aa Mayor, and announced that aa more than the required number of candidates bad been nominated (or election to the Council, a poll would be taken on Wednesday, 18tb May, between tbe hours of 9 ft m. and 7 p.m.
