THE MAN WHO WINS. The man who wins is an average man, Not built on any peculiar plan: T Not blessed with any peculiar luck; Just steady and earnest and full of pluck. When asked a question, he does not “guess” ; He knows and answers"“N T o’’ or “Yes.” When set a task mat the rest can’t do, He buckles down till he’s put it through. For the man who wins is the man who works, Who neither labour nor trouble shirks, Who uses his hands, his head, his eyes— The man who wins is the man who tries. *• CARRY ON.” A little bit of rubbing, a little bit of scrubbing, A face that’s wreathed in smiles, a heart that’s kind and fair, Will help “your man’’ more truly, he'll

then not fret unduly When he knows and teels you 11 “carry on” whilst he is stil “out there.” A loving little letter “to make him feel the better,’’ A little bit of saving.-, “to help us carry on’’ ; No doubt there’ll be some waiting before the happy mating, But it’s every woman s part to wait and “carry on”! There'll be a little heartache, vet you must try and partake In bearing others' burdens, and bear your own as well; So when you find folks sighing, give comfort in supplying All the cheery hots of gossip which vour cheery lips can tell I Oh, it means a little waking (no doubt a deal of talking!), ■‘And things arc scarce,’’ and so are hands to carry on” and make, But better days tire coming, and things will get a-humming When the “Wedding Day” arrives, and that will ‘‘take the cake!”
