Weekly Market Report.

Stronaoh, Morris and Co., Ltd., report for week ended Thursday, sth June, 1018, as follows:--Fat Cattle: —223 penned. The yarding was rather in excess of the trades’ requirements, and prices were easier. Quotatious: — Beet bullocks £lB 10s to £2O; extra to £25 10a ; medium to good £l6 to £l7 ; best eows and heifers £l4 to £ls; medium to good £l2 to £l3 10s; others £9 10s up. Fat Sheep.-1869 penned. Owing to the small yarding, competition was very keen, and prices for prime sheep were Is to Is 61 per head abrve last week’s values. Medium quality were not so keenly competed for, but were firm at lute values. Best wethers 48s to 51a 6d, medium 34s to 37s 6d, best ewes 38s to 435, *xtra to 48s, medium to good 31s to 355, others 24s up. Lambs — 1338 penned. Competition was keen, and late rates were fully maintained. Best lambs 28s to 325, extra to 86s, medium 25s to 27a, light 22s Gd up. Pigs—A good yarding of fat pigs came to hand, but competition was not too keen, and prices ware easier to the extent of about lUs on last week’s values. Store pigs sold at late rates. Stronach, Morris, & Co. Ltd. report for week ended Tuesday, 4th June, as follows: RabbitskinsWe held a sale on Mon - day, 3rd inst., when we submitted a medium catalogue to the usual attendance of buyers. Competition was good, and prices showed a rise of about 3d per lb on last week'a values. Quotations:—lst winter does to 53d, 2nd winter does to oOJd, Ist winter bucks to 46d, 2nd winter bucks to 44d, early winters to 45£ d, incoming to 42£ d, autumns to 40d, light racks to 28£ d, racks to 30Jd, springs to 27d, fawns to 27|d, hawktorn to 18d, incoming black to 58£ d, autumn black 43|d, horsehair to L5Jd per lb. Sheepskins— The Government are holding a valuation next week. Gate—The demand for prime heavy oats continues keen, and prices are a little firmer than when last quoted. Prime milling 4s 5d to 4s 6d, good ,to best feed 4s 3d to 4s 4d per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat—Kam.tins as last quoted. Potatoes—Prime lines meet with a fair demand. but medium and inferior are hard to soil. Best tables to £9 ss, modium|to good £8 to £8 15s per ton (sacks in). Chaff—The market continues to be fully supplies and most of the consignments coming to band have had to be taken into store. The bulk of these are light and inferior grades, and are hard to sell. Quotations : Best oaten sheaf to £6 1 Os, medium to good £6 to £6 ss, light and discoloured £4 to £5 per ton up (sacks extra).
