Motor Reliability Trial. The Cadillac Car added the olimax to its long series of successes in reliability trials. In this year's trial from Christchurch to Kaikoura and return Mr F. Hubbard in a 1911 model, 80 b.p. Cadillac was successful in winning the Gilchrist 100-Guinea Cup, also Gold Modal for the private owner malcing the highest aggregate of marks m the trial! Mr J. Boag in a 1912 S-jii-s! arcing Cadillac v/as awardal the third prize in the private owners class ;: r ;ol missed securing a gold medal for run by 5 marks only. Mr 1.1. Piper in a 1910 30 Cadillac was awarded fourth place and secured . second prize for the petroi eon sumption test. The three Cadillacs were standard models and went through the trial without any special covering to protect the engines or to fit on gripping chains for crossing the rivers.
