Campbell and Dr Thomson ; booby prizes—Nurse Spring and Mr W. G. BUckifl After the supper adjournment Mr Blackie, vice-president of the Club, presented to Miss Joppand Miss Smart a silver-mounted morocco card-case. In making the presentations, Mr Blackie referred to the loss that was being sustained by the Club in the departure from the district of the guests of the evening. Miss Smart had acted as seoretary of the club for the past two years and it was chiefly owing to her good work in the direction of collecting subscriptions that the Club was in such a sound financial position. Miss Jopp has been an enthusiastic playing member and had always been willing to help along the Club. Mr Blackie concluded by wishing both ladies every future success. Dr Thomson returned thanks on behalf of Miss Jopp, and Mr A. Goodley responded on behalf of Miss Smart. Dancing was then commenced and continued until an early hour. The dance music was supplied by Mrs G. Campbell, Misses Stevenson, Smart, and Preston, Messrs G. Campbell, Leslie, and C. Johnston. ' During the evening songs were acceptably contributed by Mrs Thomson, Miss Jopp, and Messrs Blackie and Bell. Mr A. S. Bell acted as M.C. The gathering was brought to a close with the singing of " Auld Lang Syne" and cheers for Misses Jopp and Smart.
