Weekly Market Report.
Stronach, Morris and Co.. Ltd., report for week ended Thursday, isoth January, 1913, as follows :
Fat Sheep : -3003 were yarded. Butchers had large numbers alive and the large yordin? was not required. Prices showed a drop nf 1* to Is 63 per head. Be t withers brought trom 18* 01 to 19s 6d; extra heavy o 255; medium 16s to 173 6d ; best ewe 3 brought, from 15s Gd to IS3; extra heavy to 225; medium 12s to 14s. Fat Lambs:—s33 were penned which was largely in excess to butchers wants. Prices show d a drop of about 3s per head. Best lamb< brought from I G-s to 17s fid ; good 14s to 15s fid ; medium 13s to 13s 6d. Fat Oat le:-196 were yarded. Bidding was ve-y sack and prices showed a drop of 10s to V>£ per head for bullock b»ef and 20s to 25s per head for cosv and heifer beef. Best bullocks £ll to£i2 10s; extra tc .£ls 17s fid ; medium to pood £8 to £9 10s ; light £7 to £7 15s ; best cows mid heifers £9 10s to £lO 17s 6d; medium to goud £7 10s to £8 10s ; light £4 to £O. Pgs :—3O fat pigs were yarded and about 20 btores. Prices for both fats and stores were slightly belter than last sale. Suc.'cers brought from 14s to 17s; slips to 22s ; stores to 27s ; porkers 32s to 42s ; light baconers to 50s ; heavy baconers to GOs Gd.
