The manager of the Skippers Sluio ing Company, Ltd., reports a partial wash-up of 650z Bdwt, and expects a further paddock to be cleaned up early in March. The nominal capital of the l'ise and Shine Gold Dredging Company, as shown by the recently issued statement of affairs is £12,000, of which £IO,OOO has been subscribed and £1)748 8' 8d actually paid up in cash The number of sharehoM. is in 157, and 11 men are employed by the company. The total quantity of the gold produced since the registration of the company in February, 1000, amounts to 82.237,z 18dwt 7grs, valued at £125,880 123 7d, of which U!)soz sdwt, valued -it £5778 10s 4d, was won last year. The amount expended in carrying on operations since last statement has fceen £8704 5s tfd, and the total expenditure since registration is £99 604 0s Id. Dividends have been declared to date amounting to £85,100.
