QUEENSTOWN REGATTA CLUB.
The annual meeting of members of the above Club was held in Queenstown on Friday evening last, the President (Mr M. J. Gavin) presiding.
The balance Rheet showed a credit balance of £26 8s 4d. The President congratulated the Club on its good financial position. i The following office-bearers were then appointed : —Patrons : Messrs H. A. Young, S.M., W. Fraser, M.P., B. Paterson, Dr Stewart, and Hugh Mackenzie, senr. President, M. J. Gavin. Vice-Presidents : Dr Thomson, Bev. J. F. J. Wenkheiin, G. D. Baird, L. Hotop, J. Edgar senr., D. Mcßride, F. S . Oiner, A. McSwan, J. S. Collins, L. Curti3, P. McCarthy, • Capt. Bobertson and Capt. Kennedy.. Committee of Management: Messrs D. F. Sutherland, J. Edgar, junr , L. J. Lynch, W. D. Warren, A. Domigan, S. B. Pettersson, J. C. Mcßride, T. H. Tallentire, A Fraser, A. H. Crawshaw, S. W. Wilson, Jas. Farrant„-:H. Buck ham.
Mr A. J. Thompson was re-elected secretary and treasurer and he was voted the usual honorarium of £5. Auditor, Mr W. B. Hawson (re-elected).
-The following dwllectors were appointed :—Country—Messrs -W. D. Warren and P. McCarthy; town Messrs Collins and A. Eraser It was resolved that it be a recommendation to the Programme Committee that a swimming race be included in the programme The Secretary stated that already several crews had booked accommodation at the local hotels. There was every indication that the regatta would he a successful ona.
