RAISED BOTTOM IN PAIL A quart of water may be boiled from the flame and heat of a burning newspaper by having tho bottom of the utensil made like that of a wino bottle. To havo the bottoms of cooking utensils fixed in this manner is a great boon for campers. Tho bottom being l-aised causes tho heat to strike tho centre of the water.
