“ Rod Jacket ” in tho Dunstan Times ; Quite the redeeming feature of tho Alexandra race meeting was tho sensational finish in the Dunstan Trot by La Heine. In the straight it looked 100 to 1 on Aladdin, but La Eeino came like a flash and just snatched tho race on tho post. It was worth the journey to Alexandra to see that finish. Cromwell Races. The Cromwell races were hold in fine weather. The attendance was large. Over .£3OOO was put through the machine for tho two days. The various officials worked well for the success of tho meeting. Two horses came clown in a race, and Roundabout had to be destroyed. Fortunately the jockeys were not badly hurt. Some good racing was witnessed. Results: — First Day.
