The Lordship of Love,

OUR NEW DOMESTIC LOVE STORY. OF STRONG SENSATIONAL IN TEREST; 'CONTAINING MANY DRAMATIC INCIDENTS; WITH A WELL WORKED-OUT PLOT. IT IS ENTITLED

AND IS FROM THE PEN OF Florence Hope, Author of "The Trials of Madge, Moberley," "In the Clutch of Nemesis," "A Merciless Woman," &c, &c. TO COMMENCE FIRST ORIGINAL PUBLICATION IN OUR COLUMNS AT AN EARLY DATE. It is with great pleasure that we place this charming' love story before our readers, with the assurance that it will meet with a hearty reception. Love, the fascinator, winds his web around the hearts of two people in this story. Hugh Hatherley, the millionarie, has made his money in the Colonies, but his soul has remained untarnished in the process, and his heart is still young. He falls in love with Ina Chisholme, a girl of good family, with a gentle upbreeding, whose education has, been acquired within the walls of a French Conve At the time this couple meet Ina is living i:a the house of her uncle and aunt —a Dr. and Mrs. Bellew, of Harley Street. Their only child, Flora, is a girl who, in her own sphere and environment, has been as much ne glected in all that pertains to real education as any gutter child. With a home-life that is utterly distasteful to her. a father who has no time to spare for her, and a mother whose only ambition is to get her child well mar ried and out of the way, what wonder that she seeks to break the monotony of her existence with outside pleasures, all the more enjoyable in that they are surreptitiously taken. Her errant feet commence the Dance of Life in earnest —on the boards. The villain of the story, one Cyril Carlyon, flies at higher\gamc than Flora —no less a person "-than the lovely Ina Chisholme, and he is the cause of all the sorrow she has to en dure. Like a veritable Judas he creeps into that picturesque home by the riverside, Copse Close, and, after undermining the happiness of three, and the fair fame of two of its members, is allowed to escape without hin drance. But this story is essentially a love drama, and so Carlyon is ulti mately left to his own devices, while the reader pursues the more attractive paths that the true lovers walk in. THE LORDSHIP OF LOVE, FLORENCE HOPE.
