Although intestinal and stomach worms are one of the most common ailments in children, yet there are but few mothers who understand its nature or realise its seriousness, or have any idea as to its cause. Many cases of convulsions, epilepsy, hysteria, St. Vitus’ Dance, melancholia, nervous diseases, and even insanity have resulted from this cause. Grinding of the teeth, violent movements of the legs and arms, and excessive How of saliva, which causes frequent eliorts to swallow during sleep denote the presence of worms.
