HURRICANE AT CAROLINE ISLANDS.

Two Hundred and Sixty Killed. News has been received in Sydney that the Caroline group was devastated by a hurricane. Many small islands were swept by the sea. On the island of Ulie most of the native inhabitants were washed away.

It is estimated that 2CO perished in the group. Native food is scarce. During the hurricano a schooner foundered and most of the crew were drowned. Twenty persons were killed at Halief Island.
