AUCTION SALE.

Messrs Cotter Bros., auctioneers, report having hold a clearing sale of Mr D. Barnett's stuck arid implements on Thursday last. The impropitious state of the weather—a foot of snow on the ground—affected the attendance of the buyers, still there was a fair number present. Draught horses were sold from £39 to £ll. The latter price was given by Mr T. Allan for a two-year-old filly by Southern Prince, out of Mr Barnett's fine brood mare Jean. Mr Allan is to be congratulated on bis purchase. A draught foal by Highlander out of the same mare brought £ls. The blood stock was passed in not reaching Mr Barnett's reseive, and the auctioneers will be pleased to treat privately with buyers for the remaining stock. The implements, etc., were all cleared at satisfactory prices.
