Eeniarkables 3 points, Arrow nil. The first match for the silver cup was played at Queenstown yesterday. The game was most evenly contested' and resulted as above stated. Mr Pope controlled the game. The Queenstown and Arrow teams meet at Arrowtown next Wednesday.
Saturday's senior football matches in Dunedin resulted as follows: University boit Southern, 19 to 7 ; Union beat Kaikorai, 5 to 8 ; Pirates boa Dunedin, (5 to 8 ; Albambra and Port drew, 0 points each; Zingari beat Iweri Rovers, 3to nil There was great interest taken in the Southern -University match, and the takings were believed to be £l4O. One man had his arm broken. New South Wales beat Queensland by 18 points to 3.
