Professor Duchcau hus just Completed a series of experiments with fish which may result in revolutionizing the piscatorial population of the French rivers, lie has taught, salt wafer fish to become accustomed to living in fresh wafer. The Professor has had great success with mackerel, haddock, sole and rod. Ills process is to put the fish into a tank of sea water when they are first caught, and then to gradually add fresh water until he. is aide at last to turn the creatures into a tank of pure river water without their being affected at all! badly.
