WEDDINGS.
■«. A very pleasing wedding ceremony was performed by tho lie v. R. T. Mathews at Macetown yesterday, when Mr S. Peacock, of this town, waß united in tho bonds of wedlock to Miss L. Thomson, second .daughter of Mr William Thomson, of Macetown. Mr A Smith acted in tho capacity of best man, and Miss Thomson, sister of tho brido, as bridesmaid. A vory large number of friends wore present at tho ceremony, and entertained at the wedding breakfast. In the evening a most enjoyable danco was held in tho Macetown Hall. Mr and Mrs Peacock wero tho recipients of many useful and handsome presents. Tho young couple will spend their honeymoon in Dunedin. A wedding of local interest was celebrated at St John's Church, Roslyn, Dunedin, by the Rev. \V. RonalJson on the3oth April, whon Mr D. F. Reid, youngest son of Mr James Pieid, Arrowtown, was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Miss Ruth Aspinall, youngest daughter of Mrs R. Stevenson, formerly of Skippors Point. Tho young pouple's future home will bo Wellington.
