PITIFUL GUN ACCIDENT.
Two boys named Herring, of Totara, near Westpovfc, are supposed to have shot dead choir elder sister, aged 18 ; then, being frightened, they disappeared into the bush. So far they have not been found. The little girl was found in a passage by her father, her face being badly marred by a bullet. The two boy- have turned up, and say they heard the shot, and seeing their sister dead, ran away. It is thought the girl accidentally knocked the gun down, and it went off, killing
