ARROW DISTRICT HOSPITAL.
The ordinary monthly meeting of Trustees was held on Saturday last.. Present—Messrs G. D. Baird (chair), Butel, Jopp, M'Donnell, H. M'Eibbin, and W. M'Eibbin. Minutes, of previous meeting were read and confirmed.. The Arrow Public School Committee wrote asking for quotations for fire-, wood.-To be informed that firewood would be supplied at £1 per oord on the ground. Mr H. M'Eibbin; (for the Visiting Committee), reported everything satis-, factory at the hospital. One of the chimneys required repairing. Messrs H. M'Eibbin and M'Donnell were appointed Visiting Committee for the month, and the matter of repairs to chimney was left in. their, hands. Accounts amounting to. £56,13 75 were passed for payment. The Treasurer reported a credit, balance of £79 2s 4d after payment of accounts. The surgeon's report was as follows: —Treated during month 10y remaining from previous month 5, admitted s>, discharged 6", died 1, remaining 3, outpatients 6, attendances 6. The following donations were re-, ceived with thanks: —Mrs Chewings (Mossburn),, magazines; Mrs Eing, vegetables; Mrs John Allan, fruit and vegetables; Mrs Chard, s fruit; Mr Mohun, periodicals. Tenders for supplies were dealt with as follows:—Stores, Joseph Jenkins (accepted); burials, James Webb (accepted) ; the tenders of Messrs Romana and M'Skimming and Joseph. Jenkins for meat and bread being was decided to give them month about;, medical comforts R: Pritchard (accepted).
It was decided that coal be ordered", from the local pits (Gibb3ton,and Oar-, drona) when required; The meeting adjourned with a vote, of thanks to the chair.
