Lxmitud report as follow.® • We held the hrst Wool Sale of the season in the Agricultural Hall on Tuesday, when we catalogued and offered 064 bales, and also sold privately 386 bales. There was a large attendance of foreign and local buyers, but competition, we are sor. y to state, was very dull, except for a few lota of very choice crossbred, for which prices ruled well up to those of last season. Good wools, however, were a id to fd per lb lower, while medium and inferior qualities had little attention, and comparing same with the op ning sale of last yeat prices were from |d to per lb easier. Merino, on the other hand, was eagerly competed for, an 1 showed a decided advance. Locks and pieces also sold well, and brought satisfactory prices.
