Notice is hereby given that after Ist January, 1898, the Bank of New Zealand will make a charge ot TEN SHILLINGS AND SIXPENCE for opening current accounts with a smaller credit or d.bt bala ce than £IOO (one hundred pounds sterling). A further charge of TEN SHILLINGS AND SIXPENCE will be made each half-year for continuing to keep such accounts in every case where the balance at credit stands for three consecutive days during the half-year at less than i'so (fifty pounds sterling). Present customers and those opening accounts on or before the Ist January, IS9S, will also be subject to a conditional half-yearly charge of TEN SHILLINGS AND SIXPENCE as from the Ist April next, in terms of a notification which will be forwarded to each customer in due course.
