Masonic.

The installation of the W.M. and officers of Lodge Arrow Kilwinning, No. 86, N.Z.0., took place afc the Masonic Hall at 6.30 p.m. on Monday evening. In addition to the members of the- local Lodge, there was a very largo attendance of brethren from Lake Lodge of Ophir, Queenstown. Past Master Bro. W, Wilsor, of Lake Lodge of Ophir, acted as Installing Master, and carried out the onerous duties devolving upon him in that important office in the most complete and praiseworthy manner. The following are the names of the brethren installed into their different offices for the ensuing term : W. Master, P. W. Bro. C. VV. Brenrmer; Immediate Past Master, Bro. George Heller; Substitute Master, Bro. O. Johnson ; B.VV. Bro. W. Stephenson ; S.D. Bro. R. Gilmour ; J.D., Bro. George Studdi-rt ; Treasurer, Bro. W. T Tait; Secretary, Bro. G. H. Romans, J. G. Bro. D. Mackio,; Tyler, Bro. 0. Hay. After the installation some 24 brethren partook of an excellent banquet at the Royal Oak Hotel, wliich was served in Bro. Jopp’s very best style. During the evening the following toasts wrre proposed and duly honored. “The Queen and the Ciaft,”by the W. M. Bro, B.emiU'T, The three Grand Lodge.'',” by Bro. G. Stoddart, “ The Grand Lodge of Now Zealand,” by P.M. VV. Wilson, of Lake Lodge of Ophir, “ The visiting Brethern,” by Bro. Romans, responded to by P.M, Wilson and Mehaffej’, “The Worshipful Master and Officers,” by

P.M. Mehaffoy, “ The Ladies,” by Bro. Pritchard, “The Host, Hostess and sfamily,” by Bro. W. Stephenson, re g ponded to by Bro. Jopp. Songs wereung at intervals by Bros. Bremmer, Wilson, Farrant, Gilmour, Dagg; Stephenson, Lawton, Romans, Hay and Johnson. A most enjoyable evening was brought to a close by the company singing “ Auld Lang Syne ” shortly before midnight.
