Again we hear of Kimberly. A cablegram dated Melbourne, December 31, says:—Latest accounts from Kimberly continue very encouraging. Several large nuggets have recently been unearthed.
The Bruce Herald understands that a company for working the Canada reef has been successfully floated in Dunedin with a substantial capital. It is intended to drive i:>*;o the side hill and bring the stuff out from there. The company have bought the old stampers erected 10 years ago by the company then in existence. They were placed in position last week. The mine 1 inanager of White's Reef Gold Mining Company, Limited, turned sut a cake of 1730z retorted :;oid from 130 .jns of stone, at
Christmas. From Skippers news is again more encouraging regarding the Phoenix.
