ARROW DISTRICT HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.

A meeting of (he subcommittee appointed to arrange for the furnishing of the building was held on (lie 'JS l> ultimo. Mr M‘l»onnell was appointed a member of Ote sub committee in the room of Mr Jenkins, resigned. Two tenders were received for the erection of stable. &c, and inside fittings but neither was accepted they being deemed too high.

Tlie tender of E. J. Foord for making and fixing dresser (£'K) was accepted, conditionally upon upper shelve* being ten im-hes wide;. and Messrs Barlow and Ffealey were empowered to arrange for the erection of two water-e.los.ets, without calling for tenders. It was resolved to leave the other carpen'ering work required for the Dext ordinary mea'ing of CommitteeOffers had'been received' from Messrs Smith, Jenkins, and-Pritchard to supply the furniture required for the hospital at Puriedin iuvoiee price, the Commi'toe paying the. carriage •> and from Mr H. Graham ofi'eiing to supply same hi 5 per cent on Dunedin invoice price. The "emmittee declined Mr GraJfam"s ofFer; ; and deci led to let Messrs Smith, Jenkins, and Pritchard. draw. lots, as to who should execute the ord. r. Mr Smith declined to draw, and Messrs Jenkins and Priichard drew, the lot falling to Mr Jenkins. His offer wa.s, accordingly accepted: Ordinary Monthly Meeting, Dec. 5.
