FARMERS’ PURSE of 10 Sovs.— Open to all District horses that have never won public money, and that are not entered or competing for any other event during the meeting, tobe the property of lona fide farmers for at least three months previous to the meeting. Half-mile heats. Weight, 14st up. Post entry, 20s. DISTRICT BRED HORSE RACE of 15.Sovs.—Open to all horses bred in the Wakatip Goldfields District. Distance, 1-4- miles. Weight for age. Nomination, £l ss. Post entry. CONSOLATION HANDICAP of Sovs.—Open to all beaten horses during the meeting. Distance, 14miles. Post entry, 20s. HOSPITAL RACE.of Sovs., supplemented by Sovs. from the funds.—Distance, one mile. Catch weights. Entrance, 2s 6d. The first, race of each day to start punctually at noon, telegraph time. It is to be distinctly understood, that all the above races (with the exceptions of the Grand Stand and Arrow Handicaps) shall be for District Horses only, the bona Jtde property of residents of Labe County for three months prior to the 26th December, 1579. All qualifications and nominations for Maiden Plate and Handicaps to close on Saturday, 20th December, at 8 p.m. ; and all acceptances for same to close on Tuesday 23rd December, at 8 p.m. The wi ner of. the Grand Stand Handicap to carry 71b penalty on the second day. No person to enter or nominate a horse unless he be a subscriber of not less- than one guinea to the funds. Moreover, no person to enter or nominate a horse not bona Jhle his own property unless the said subscription of one guinea be paid for the actual owner ; also under forfeiture of any race such horse may win.. Any person entering a protest must deposit £2, and should such objection be deemed frivolous by the Stewards the amount will be forfeited. Three entries or no race. In all cases the decision of the Stewards shall be final. Five per cent, to be deducted from all winnings to defray expenses. Jockeys to ride in colours.
