A SEASON ABLE SUGGESTION.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE ARROW OBSERVER. Sir:—You would confer a great favour upon many if you would call the attention of the Mayor and Councillors to the present condition of the trees in" God'a Acrr," Arrowtown. Now that everyone throughout the district is looking after and endeavouring to beautify gardens and plantations, it would be a. pity if the trees and shrubs in question, which hate been placed in the Cemetery at considerable trouble and expense, were neglected and allowed to go to decay—like the other iihabitanis of the place, to. whom decay is only natural. "We are born, but not buried." Councillors, like the rest of us, must pass away; so I hope I do not make a vain appeal to have the defects alluded to remedied, and that we may have the gratification, if a melancholy one, of looking forward to a pleasant resting place, when the toils and troubles of this world shall be over Yours &e.,
Yobick.
