SCHOOL COMMITTEE-MEN IN VICTORIA.
Considerable amusement was created In thn Victorian Assembly hy an member, in the course of the Education Debate, reading the following samples of entries made by local committee-men, “ Visited this school and found present 2o£ things in ordely manner and to the satisfaction of all with whom I here converst with.” “ I on the local Comtee visited this school and found present 27 children, and to all appierenco everything goinging on all wright and Mr given all satisfaction to all partis.” “ I have this day visted this scholl. Found the children g-atly improved both in diseiplen and education.” “ I have this day vistied the school, well coneercted, great improvement.” “ Visited the school, roods verey hevvey, small attendance.” (Laugher.) “ Viseted the school, found all in good carder, and getting on weel.” “ Visited the school, which I found In verry efficient state,” “ Mode a visit to school, everything in good order, but .a terable storm raging out Side.” (Much laughter.) “ Visited the school, orrganicasion very indifferent pensills to short.” (Laughter) “ Beying in mayborhood went to school, found master assleep, scolars playing.”
