BOWLING.

In the semi-finals of the men’s Singles championship at Arrowtown B. L. Thompson defeated W. Hore, and in the final E. L. Fletcher defeated E. L. Thompson, 20—12. LADIES’ BOWLING In the Silver Button Pairs match, Mesdames Given and Summers defeated Mesdames Campbell and Gibb. In the Singles’ championship Miss Methven defeated Mrs Walker, Mrs Hore defeated Mrs Campbell, and Mrs C. Gibb defeated Mrs Sanders.

Young Farmers' Club Meeting at Arrowtown There were eleven club members and also some members of the Federated Farmers present at a meeting of the Yourtg Farmers’ Club held during the week. Visitors at the meeting were Messrs Gow and Lunn, from the head office, Alexandra, and Mr Pearra, veterinary surgeon, of Ceylon, who gave a very interesting address on his native country, and the care of animals in particular. Mr D. E. Eowe was called on to thank the speaker for a most instructive and interesting address. The meeting closed after the routine business had been completed.
