Hon. W. Parry Refuses Petrol Release

A Queenstown petrol reseller disposed of more than a thousand gallons in the first two days of this month. Because most of this petrol had been sold to tourists leaving the town after the holidays (and they had been sold only enough to take them to the next service station) the reseller had telegraphed a request to the Minister of Tourist Resorts, the Hon. W. Parry, to release more petrol. He reeeivd a reply that no more fuel could be supplied for the tourist trade.
