Special Train to Dunedin
The Cromwell Borough Council’s request to the New Zealand Railways Department for a special train to Dunedin on February 28, has been declined owing to the coal shortages. With the petrol position becoming more acute, many people who had intended motoring to Dunedin on this date will be unable to do so, and will, therefore be looking for some other means of traA^el. It has been decided to write to the local member of Parliament, Mr Bodkin and also to the District Traffic Manager, Railways, Dunedin.
