Ratepayers Petition Borough Council

Ratepayers and occupiers of property in and adjacent to Mann and Camp streets, Queenstown, presented a petition to the Queenstown Borough Council at their meeting last week. The petition requested that alterations be made to the corner of Camp and Mann streets to allow clear vision; and that Camp street, from the White Star Hotel to Mann street corner and continuing for the full length of Mann street to the borough camping grounds, be bitumenised; also that a footpath and kerbing be made on one side of Mann street. After discussion the council decided to advise petitioners that they were trying to get the Highways Board to take over this section of the road.
