Ramblers’ Cricket Club

The Ramblers’ Cricket Club opened the' season at the week-end There was a good attendance of members. The president, .Mr Eric McNeill, declared the season officially open. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies. Queenstown Gardens During the winter months oppdrtunity was taken by the Queenstown Gardens staff to overhaul the rustic bridges and fences. A large amount of clearing has been effected, and the ornamental shrubs bordering the main drive present a shapely appearance. Spring growth, mainly narcissi and polyanthus, is now coming away rapidly and at present the Domain is very attractive and well cared for.
