Record Response to Queenstown Health Stamp Campaign

With :ill existing, stocks of Health Stamps sold out by 4.30 p.m. on the first day of the Health Stamp Campaign, Queenstown achieved the distinction of being second only to Invercargill city for first-day sales in Southland, and it is understood led all country offices in Otago. First-day sales realised £lB7 4s. The postmaster, Mr W. Smith, stated that the effort put forth by the business people, in particular, was magnificent, as £l7O of the total sales was contributed by them before the opening day. Health Stamps will be on sale until next February, and it is hoped that the public will purchase these stamps for their normal postings and contribute fuithei to this worthy cause.
